Hi, G.W.

Thanks, I actually have a few .wmv files on this system, I'll try the
control S trick. yes I also chose classic mode and that seems to work
better. What I can at least do is only use media player when I listen to a
radio station that requires it. I can live with it on here that's for sure.

Hal

I can only guess. Try inserting an audio CD and stop it with control S.
Then perhaps you can access your menus in a normal fashion.

Under view I chose "full mode." There is a classic and that seems to set
up the menus vertically rather than horizontally.

Don't go bonkers when you try to adjust the volume. Rather than F9 and
F10 to lower and raise, the keys are now F8 and F9.

Hi all on list,

Last night I opened windows media player 10 and got a notice that there
was
an update and I chose it; I'm kind of sorry I did. I'm now running the
latest, media player 11 and I must say that I much prefer player 10.
With
jfw 7.1 and 8, you could open media player 10 and hear jfw say, default
view; this no longer happens in the new version. Is there a way I can
stop
the player from accessing the internet on first opening? When I open the
player I hear jfw say 0 links, followed by "Open parent document
button".
Also I find that jfw starts to lag after a short time. Are there any
tips
and tricks for accessing windows media 11?

Hal
