thanks I like jaws 12 better than 11 it is not the speech rate but the
suspense of waiting for jaws to speak at all, since an engineer is coming later
to try and fix windows 7 I will ask him to see if any reason, I am giving it
the XP a firm press using function key 5 that seems to get system moving I
hear ping of incoming mail then thanks Dorothy,

Actually I've noticed that JAWS 12 loads faster than does JAWS 11. Speech
rate is adjustable, so I presume that's not your question.

I wonder if Jaws 12 is slow to speak for others, using XP laptop at
moment,the music comes on fast,so it loads but takes ages before Jaws speaks, I
do have jaws 11on andnvda ,in case but is Jaws 12 taking longer than most to
