jaws with ftp explorer

Does someone know where I can find jaws-specific commands for FTP explorer or a good tutorial? I figured out how to download but when trying to upload what happens is the item says it uploaded but there's nothing in there. Like if it's a song or document the song or document name will be in the uploaded folder but it says 0 KB so no substance got into the item named. Thanks for any help.
