jaws quits speaking and won't re-load

This is happening quite frequently of late and I wonder if anyone has
suggestions. Jaws will just stop talking sometimes on websites or even when
reading mail. I can't tell if it's a combination of computer freeze-up and
Jaws, or if it's just Jaws. I say this because when Jaws freezes I hit
windows key, u and then r for re-start and nothing happens. Jaws does start
up fine when re-booting, but it just quits quite a bit. So I try to re-load
Jaws from my desktop and it won't come back; thus I have to re-boot. Hope
someone can help.
