Try holding down Jaws key, insert, then pressing V. Down arrow until you get to
"Page, Section, and Multiple Column Breaks."
For what you want, it should be on. The space bar will toggle.

Until as recently as 2 days ago jaws announced the page number without being
prompted whenever I went to the next page in a word document. This function
has disappeared. Is there a way to get it back? I'm working on jaws 7.1.
