jaws and powerpoint

greetings
when slides are set to advance automatically as opposed to advance on mouse
clickss jaws doesn't read the slides in progress. it freezes on the previous
slide and hitting insert 8 on the numpad to check focus confirms this. hitting
spacebar will only read the current slide skipping the earlier ones.
seeking your advice to set jaws to read all the accompanying slides please.
