With my new computer I find Internet Explorer 8 less and less responsive. 3 different sites I’ve had to install FireFox to even use them. I won’t install the new JAWS update b/c of its issues with Excel, which I still have to use at least for now. Can I use Internet Explorer 9 with Jaws 12.0.525? If you aren't already familiar with the explorer interface, it would be worth taking some time to become familiar. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Holger Fiallo Sent: Friday, April 29, 2011 5:21 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: IE 9 I did window key plus 2 and did not get anything. Locate on your hard drive a file with an extension similar to the kind of file you are opening in IE 9 (such as .wav, .mp3, .wma, etc). Right click this file with the Jaws curser (brings up the context menu). Scroll down to the "open with sub menu" option. Right arrow to open this menu. Then select the option "choose default program..." From there, select WinAmp as the desired default program for that file type. If you don't know the exact file type you are trying to play through IE 9 - then you may need to set Winamp as the default for several different file types before it works as desired. I hope this helps, Bill -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Holger Fiallo Sent: Friday, April 29, 2011 4:41 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: IE 9 Do not get the message of opening IE 9 and going to application and select winamp.
