Why is this question more interesting than any other on the list. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nicol Oosthuizen" <NOosthuizen@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, March 16, 2007 1:41 AM Subject: interesting question NB: This email and its contents are subject to our email legal notice which can be viewed at http://www.sars.gov.za/Email_Disclaimer.pdf ---- HI all This is not a problem I'm having as such, its just something that interests me. When I'm in Microsoft outlook and I press insert+v for the verbosity dialogue there's an option: read messages automatically. If I select that option jaws will automatically read a message once I press enter to open it. My question is: does jaws make use of say all when it reads a message the moment I'm opening it? In other words the moment I press enter to open a message and the setting for read messages automatically has been turned on, does jaws invoke the say all script at that moment when I open a message? I have found that when this setting is on jaws first reads the title of the message. It will say: jean asner re help with recorder read only edit. Then it will read the message. So what I have done to eliminate this: I went into the configuration manager and into the verbosity dialogue. Alt+s followed by v. I have turned off the options for read document name and read control type. Now if I press enter jaws only reads the message without reading the title bar plus saying read only edit. Its just something in outlook I wanted to share with you-- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
