review mode? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Adams" <jadams@xxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, June 11, 2004 6:59 PM Subject: Re: grc.com? Hi, I use grc.com at least once/week to scan the ports on our firewall. Once you hit the Shield's Up link hit the proceed button. Next you will be presented with a list of options. I normally use the "Common Ports" button. You need to tab to the one you want then go into review mode. this will work for the "Common Ports" scan - not sure about the others. Next click the left mouse button. This seems to work the best for me. The trick is to click the left mouse button while in review mode; not sure why. Adam, You need to left-click twice rapidly on the button i.e. shieldsUp and then the scan will start. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Adam Morris" <awmorris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, June 11, 2004 5:20 AM Subject: grc.com? Has anyone found how to do a scan on their fire wall using the above = site? I can go to the shields up page, then the proceed button, but when i = click on the scan for ports etc the page changes but no new information = comes up. Someone has said that if you remove jfw and click on the appropriate = button for the type of scan you want it will work. This for me doesn't work, when jfw is removed focus on the page changes = to the top. Any help is appreciated.
