MessageAdrian, could be. Who knows. I did not want to update firefox to version
4 because of webvisum. But I read somewhere, where? right now I cannot remember
for the life of me. That there was a new version of webvisum available that
worked with firefox 4. So I went to the website and downloaded the plug-in. It
so happened that there was a new version available, version 0.8. So I
downloaded and then I upgraded the firefox and it worked. Maybe it is windows 7
only. But I doubt that webvisum would do that. But again, who knows? I repeat
though, the plug-in is not as snappy and as accurate as the previous one. Maybe
I downloaded a beta without knowing.

Yadiel, do I remember correctly that you use Windows 7? I have XP, and I'm
wondering if that explains the difference. On my system, Firefox 4 was
definitive that Webvisum doesn't work with it, and on the add-ons page, I was
sent to a Webvisum page that instructed me to download Firefox 3.5.

Adrian, I can report that firefox 4 and webvisum works pretty well together.
webvisum made an update a couple of weeks after firefox 4 was release and it
works fine. One thing to keep in mind is that now capcha solution is not as
accurate as previous version. People in the webvisum community tells me that
that is something they hope will change in a future update.

About a year ago I found that an add-on was causing long delays with Firefox.
Is it possible you recently installed one? Or accepted an update to one? It
might be worth deactivating them one by one to see if the culprit is there.

I do find that Webvisum slows Firefox down. When I use Firefox a lot, I
deactivate Webvisum until I need it.

Several listers report that Webvisum doesn't work with Firefox 4, so it's wise
to stay with 3.6.

I used to be a Firefox enthusiast, but for me IE8 works better with JAWS 11.

Heya folks,

for awhile now when I load firefox 3.6.16 the latest update in the 3.6 version
before it now goes to version 4, running Jaws 11 when I load firefox it takes
quite awhile to load and in the same time I totally loose Jaws speech for a
minute or 2 till firefox finally loads with web visum etc. Is there a work
around for this? and what maybe causing this long loading up as firefox never
use to be like this. Ive tried installing version 4 but it doesn't work that
well with Jaws 11.
I can handle waiting alittle longer for the load but I don't like losing
speech, this losing speech can also happen in some websites that I use with
firefox

Any help here would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Jim
