Marvin, Here's how I do it in jaws 7.
1. Open dictionary with jaws key D
In the first edit field write your word. For the sake of this email I'll use the word phone as an example. In the first edit field type the word phone.

In the next edit field type fone. When typing it with an F, you are saying how you want ph pronounced.
Tab and follow the prompts. Hit OK at the end of the process.

This process should get your dictionary reading words like you understand them. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marvin Hunkin" <startrekcafe@xxxxxxxxx>

Subject: editing Dictionary in jaws

Hi.
how do i use the jaws dictionary manager, to edit the words in jaws, like in the lee voice for jaws 10, in windows mail, instead of saying unread message
it sound like unhead.
and also, instead of saying in box , saying -in-box.
so, how do i use this, as never used it before.
cheers Marvin.
