edit box with firefox

I have a problem with the edit box when I use firefox. Fkor example in ebay
when I click on the description link to put up an auction I get no edit box to
describe my item. When I do the same thing with Internet explorer the edit box
comes up immediately. Any suggestion will be appreciated.
