Hello ranet. to do a disk check you can do one of 2 things. first. you can
go to my computer and go to lockel disk. then click propertys, then go to
the toles tab. the first item will be check for eiors. then click on the 2
check boxes scane for and attempt recovery of bad sectorys, and then check
the box that says, fix file system airs. the other way to do a disk check
if go to run, then type chk dsk space forword clash either f, or c, or r.
then it will say the type of the file system is n t f s, then it will give
you the message about can not use the volume, schegel the next time you
restart,, then do alt y, and pres enter then you will be able to restart and
depending on the letter you used c f or r, it will do the check. the c f
and r are different paramators, I don't know the details but thay will do
the job. hope this helps. ps. windows will start about one hour after the
disk check is complet.

Subject: disc check with Jaws
Hi All
I am using Windows XP Home and the latest version of Jaws.
I experienced some problems with my laptop and somebody ran a disc check
for
me which helped.
How does one do this?
Will Jaws read the Dos screen for example?
Thanks.
Renette
