differences between routing to jaws kursor and just hitting the num pad minus

Hi everyone,
My friend and I we both want to know, what's the different between hitting the
insert with the JAWS Kursor key (routing jaws to pc) and just hitting the JAWS
key by itself.
Same thing with the pc kursor, what's different between hitting insert with the
pc kursor (routing pc to jaws) and just the pc kursor key itself? Please?
