desk top overload

Hi folks,I bought a tutorial from Freedom Scientific that was supposed to have
a floppy with practice files like surfs up on the floppy.
Instead the disc had a words tutorial and now I have all these practice files
on my desk top. How can I delete these files and get them off my desk top? I
use jfw 5.1 and win xp. Thanks, David
