What's more, and one of the others eluded to this in passing, most applications in 2007, including Word, can make PDF's on the fly with a simple converter, which can be downloaded from Microsoft, and becomes part of the save and convert menus. This was one of the long-awaited, and truly cool features of 2007. Where you may have trouble is in PDF's. Not all of them are accessible since sometimes, they make an image of text instead of actual text. They scan a paper in and don't run it through recognition software to decode the picture into actual text. They just leave the picture up there. Sighted people can read that but screen reader users can not. I don't know of a place you can find a list of tips or something but, one thing is for sure. Your teachers need to know that you can't access screenshots or pictures of text. Anything they give you has to be a document containing actual text and not text converted into an image.
