I'm sorry, but in my very first message, I explained in detail everything
I've already done. And one of these things was my very *first* move, which
was to simply reply to the confirm email. I said that this time, as has
happened to me before while attempting to join other Yahoo groups, doing
that did *not* subscribe me to the list. I received no welcome message, and
so forth. that why I then went to the Web site to do it that way, only to
encounter the graphic troll. Okay?
As for the rest, no, I don't get what you're saying. But it's okay. I really
don't mind getting help, as long as I'm not living in the desert somewhere
or in solitary confinement.. But I always try to do something myself, on
principle, at first. And usually succeed. We're just not communicating
clearly with each other. Please don't worry about it. And Happy new Year.

Instead of clicking on the link in the message to confirm, you can just
reply to the message. What I meant by adding a profile was that if you join
a list via E-Mail, you can not do anything with the group from the website
unless you add a profile. This doesn't mean another profile but rather the
one you already have created. If you join the list via the website, meaning
you must use the visual verification, you automatically add the profile. If
on the other hand, you join via E-Mail, you must add your profile yourself.
