Francis,If I understand what you are saying, you don't want MS Word to change the date on a document after you edit it and save it. I'm afraid this is just the way Word and other Windows programs work when you modify a file. There is probably a utility somewhere that can restore your original date to the document, but I'm not sure why you would want to do that.
