I wrote a rather scalding message to Cepstral about the continuing problem regarding the Cepstral David and Lawrence voices crashing since their version 3.4, 3.4.2 also, and this is the response I just received. Mr. Delzer,

We at Cepstral apologize sincerely that the voice product has not lived up to your expectations. Understanding the importance of text-to-speech to the blind community, we have over the past couple of months put nearly all of our software development efforts into making the system much more stable when used in TTS-intensive applications, such as Window-Eyes and Jaws. Only in the past week or so have we come to a point where we feel that it is not only back to the level of stability that it used to enjoy, but it is far more stable than it ever was. In the coming weeks we will be releasing version 3.5.0 and we feel that this release will add layers of stability that we've not had until this point.

Again, we are sorry that the product has been something of a let-down to you, but I thank you for your continued patronage and support, and I assure you that it will be much better soon. We will be sure to notify you the day we release version 3.5.0.
