I've noticed this as Well. I believe that the abbreviation is so widely used
that they, whoever they may be, just decided to link the correct pronunciation

Subject: another interesting phenomenon with eloquence and Jaws

Hi friends,
type in ms word this word:
xmas
Jaws will not crash but the pronounciation of this word is as: christmas
Can someone explain it?
Again, type it and go down and up to this word and hear the sound fo that word.

Interesting???

Moti
