thanks for this. I'm doing some online courses and my school used to use web CT, and I heard somewhere that this company bought them out, so this is good to know.

I used to use Blackboard when I was in college, and I found it surprisingly accessible. And that was back around oh.. JFW 5.0 or somewhere in that general area. I don't know what's all changed with it, though; it's been a few years. If she downloads the demo version of the latest 8.0, does it work better for her? Try it out and see. Or if she doesn't want to waste the space, I assume you're running the same version... she could always see if it works any better on your setup.

Subject: question on behalf of a friend

Hi:

has anyone used blackboard with JAWS? a friend is using JAWS 7.1 with Windows XP home and is finding it quite inaccessible. blackboard used to be Webct, but blackboard now owns webct. she is also using internet explorer 6 and/or Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.12.

any help would be great, as she is using this for school.

Patricia
