If Corel is still following their previous pattern, you need to modify your registry to make WP 12 use "standard" video output techniques so that jfw will speak properly. Below are 3 lines that you could copy and paste, using any text editor, into a file with a .reg file extension. Then, once you have it, double click it or run it just like you would any program and it will make the registry change that I expect WP 12 still needs. If WP doesn't need this key any longer, this won't hurt anything, it will just add an unused key in your registry. Regedit may ask you if it's ok to do this, depending on your particular version, so you should choose "yes". As for your Word question; sure, go ahead and install what you have, assuming your new pc didn't come with anything newer; but, it's pretty important to get those Word bug fixes, so I'd buy the latest version as soon as you can. You can get it as part of the MS Office Small Business Suite for around $99.
