Jerry,

I just ran a test using paste special, but was not able to recreate what you
observed. I know that in times past the clipboard pane would open and stay
open in some application, asking me if I wanted to append or overwrite. But
I can't recreate that, either.

On a different facet of Word 2007, The weirdest or worst thing yet was that
I found after using paste special, I had to toggle off the clipboard.

The behavior of Jaws 12 was that it seemed unable to find focus. For
example, I would type a line to an existing document and it wouldn't show up
to a sighted observer, read back letters with left arrow or any other form
of Jaws reading command. I wonder if I might have been typing into the
clipboard?

I won't be shocked if I've missed something.
