Gold Wave is very compatible with JAWS, and I used it last year to record the space shuttle liftoff and have it automatically remove the long gaps in the audio using a noise threshold setting.

Does anyone know of a program that can do a voice activated recording through
the pc, that is compatibal with JAWS? I would like to transfer some cassets and
vinals to digital, but would like the ability to leave while it's doing it's
thing and not worry about recording a bunch of empty playback.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

Thanks,

Bryan
