Video Intercept error

Dear List, I am trying to help Harry install JFW on his new XP system. but he
keeps getting a video intercept error when trying to start jaws. He uses
Narator to help with the install, we tried with & without Narrotor.
The installer continues to tell him to restart the PC. so we tried to install
jaws without speech useing only narrator. so now it installed but will not run
because of the video intercept error. he then clicked on install video
intercept, but it didn't help.
Can someone help with this problem.
he is useing jfw 4.5
win XP on a new GateWay.
