uninstall the windows live essentials, 12011,
then you could install the earlier version.
if you need the earlier executable let me no, I could send it to you. it may be kinda difficult to find it.

Just do a system restore to the day before you updated or installed Windows Live 2011. If you can't do that then try Miranda from www.miranda-im.org. While Microsoft appears to force you to update, they're not; they just label it as important for the sake of it.
