USB synthesizers

Hi All...
I saw the old two sound card question pop up again.
I want to DJ with my Vista laptop and I want the music to come out of the
USB sound card and the speech to come from the internal sound card.
1. Are the instructions still the same to tell Jaws to use the built in
sound card for output using Vista?
2. When using 2 sound cards in the past, I have had problems in the past
with jaws not retaining the sound card when the windows default output
device was changed (under XP). Has anybody tried this and how were your
results?
