U3 & JAWS On A Thumb Drive

Dear all,
Does anyone have any experience putting the thumb drive version of JAWS on a
'smart' drive with U3 software? We are thinking of removing the U3 stuff and
can't quite understand if there are any pros in keeping it. Would this
software
make the thumb drive version of JAWS auto run more likely to work or not
work? Thanks.
