Re: Turning key echo off

Hi there,
First, key echo settings are located in configuration manager under user
settings. To get there:
1 Insert f2 to bring up the managers list box
2 Hit *C* for configuration manager and hit enter
3 When the configuration manager starts up, hit control shift D for the
default configuration manager. It will say default.jcf Jaws configuration
manager.
4 Alt S for the settings menu
5 First item in the menu is user settings, hit enter on that
6 Tab until you hear typing echo and it will tell you what you have it set
on. I think it is like two tabs within the dialog box. It is radio
buttons, so just arrow up and down to set it to what you wish.
7 Tab to okay and hit enter.
8 Control S to save the changes.
9 Done, alt f4 to exit the configuration manager.
Now as far as your pitch for upper case letters. This is found in the
global voice settings.
1 Hit insert J to bring up Jaws.
2 If you run Jaws from the system tray, hit enter on options, arrow down to
voice and hit enter, hit enter on global settings.
3 If you don't run Jaws from the system tray, Hit alt O for options, arrow
down to voices and hit enter, and hit enter on global settings.
4 Now just tab until you hear upper case pitch change 20%. 20% is the
default. Just arrow up and down to change the number.
5 Tab to okay and hit enter, your done!
Hope this helps,
Chris Chaffin
