Switching to Double Talk LT in JAWS 9

I added my Doubletalk LT to the synthesizer list. But, I can't seem to
switch to it. Eloquence keeps talking and the Double Talk just keeps
saying: ----------%------ra-------p--------j, etc. I don't know what all
that is, but it starts that when I turn it on right after it says Double
Talk Ready.
Any suggestions?
