I can't help you with your last two questions, but I can with the first. In order to fix this little problem with yahoo, you need to add a line to confignames.ini. Here's how: 1. Go to start, programs, jaws 7.1, explore jaws, explore shared settings. 2. once the folder opens up, type config to get near the file you want. Continue down arrowing until you reach the config names.ini file. 3. Open this file and hit control plus f to open the find dialog. 4. Type in the following text: yahoomessenger=Yahoo Instant Messenger Main 5. Hit enter, and then escape. You should be on the line. 6. Hit end to get to the end of the line, and press enter. 7. Paste in the following text: YPager=Yahoo Instant Messenger Main 8. Hit alt plus f4 and then y to save changes. Close out windows explorer, and try using yahoo messenger. According to the automatic updates feature, I have the latest version. First, I am using yahoo Messenger version 7, as recommended by someone on this list, but now, with JAWS 7.1, it won't read me the contacts anymore. It just says "Yahoo messenger with Voice" and is silent when I use up or down arrows. Is there a way this can be fixed? Should I upgrade to the newest version now, or are there some scripts I need? The other problems are with Microsoft Outlook 2003. first, it used to be that when I would press control-N to start a new message, if I started to type a name, if I had sent the message to someone with that name recently, JAWS 7 would read me the names it came up with to auto complete. Now, it just sits there, when I know full well the letters I'm typing in should bring me something. I went into verbosity and made sure the announcement of auto completion of address lists was turned on. Is there anything else I can do? I used this feature a lot. The other thing isn't a big deal, just a nuisance bug I think. If I press control-D in a message in outlook Express, when I open the next message, it won't read it, even though the read messages automatically is also on, and normally, it would read it no problem. Anyway, this seems to be temperamental in any case, but never reads after I've pressed control-D within a message to delete it and go back to the list, then open another message. I would appreciate any help with any of these. Nicki www.nicksmix.net check out my show on ACB Radio Interactive on monday from 23-01 GMT. -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
