Ah, okay. I've seen this as well. I believe some of this happens because of Windows Search finishing any indexing that it does when you save and close documents you were working on just prior to logging off. This won't be much of an issue on newer machines. But for older, slower ones, that have less than 2 GB of RAM, you may see this more.
