Settings in AVG free edition

I've seen some email that has "This email is certified virus free by AVG" or
something similar to that. I have the free edition, but I can't get it to say
that.
I have the email settings checked to monitor incoming and outgoing email
message, but I'm not seeing that message at the bottom ofmy email when I look
in my Sent Items folder.
What do I need to do?
