My install of jaws 5.1 turned off speech part way through the install. Thinking
there would be self-voicing with the rest of the install I waited for 2
minutes.
When nothing happened, I hit my hot keys and got jaws 5.0.8.44 talking through
the rest of the install even though I had been prompted to turn off all other
speech programs. I thought it rather strange that I had been prompted to turn
off all speech and no self-voicing instructions especially as I had requested a
custom install. If I could have installed the program without speech I wouldn't
have bought jaws in the first place. Other than that the install went fine even
with jaws 5.0 running.
