Hi Allan and list,
Yes, I've done this as well (I'll need to
test JAWS 8.0 again). So far, I've found:
* Windows Vista is somewhat accessible with
JAWS.
* JAWS does work with Windows Explorer that
has been redesigned.
* JAWS does work well with Windows Media
Player 11 and Windows Media Center.
Notable changes under Vista include:
* JAWS works with search box under Start Menu
(if you type jaws in the stearch box and
press ENARER, it will automatically launch
JAWS).
* Windows Explorer is no longer integrated
with IE.
* You cannot access My Documents with under
My Computer. You'll need to go to Desktep
and select your User name.
Please note that JAWS 8.0.423 does not read
everything under Vista (you'll need the
upcoming update to do that). According to a
beta tester that I know, it won't be long
before this update will be released. If you
have Vista and JAWS 8.0, try it out (use it
at your own ristk!).
Cheers,
Joseph
