Steve,
No, I think I'm having a problem with Windows Media Player, which is not
allowing me to play or burn any discs.
I've got to figure out how to fix that first, before doing anything else.
I tried inserting other discs, and they will not play, so I'm trying to
figure out what's wrong here.
This all began happening, after I installed Jaws 6.1, so I think that a DLL
file may have been corrupted.

Claudia,
I am confused. You said this is not a store-purchased copy, but one that
was already burned.
First, if you use the disk copy utility, you have to put the source CD in
first, the one you want to copy from. Then, you put the blank CD-R in
second.
If you have this problem, it means one of two things that I can think of
off the top of my shiny bald head:
1) Some copied disks won't allow for more copies to be made; others will.
I'm not sure why. A possible workaround is to copy the contents from that
disk using the regular CD Creator, copy the files to a folder and then you
can paste them in to a burn session on a new CD.
2) If you are trying to add data to an already-burned CD, it may mean
that the previous recording session was finalized, in which case, you
can't any more data because the table of contents has been locked.

Hi Steve,
I have a CD burner on my laptop, and I tried inserting the disc I want to
copy, but it told me that this was not a recordable disc, even though
this is a disc that was also burned, not a store-bought one.
Any ideas?

Claudia,
In Easy CD Creator, if you select the CD copy function, you will be
placed in a tab control box. There is a copy/source tab, and an
advanced tab.
In the copy/source tab, t you will see two combo boxes. One allows you
to select the CD Drive for the source disk to copy from; the second
selects the CDRW drive where you will place the blank CD-r. Of course,
these drives can be the same, as the program will store the image from
the CD on your hard-drive.
The advanced tab allows you to select recording speed, buffer underrun
prevension, and whether to test, test and copy, or just copy.
To find the copy button, I think you at least need the source CD in the
drive. You will find it right above the blurb that says f1 for help.
It is on a line by itself. If there is no disk in the drive, my Easy Cd
Creator 5 says graphic 941. With a CD in the drive, jaws says Copy
Button. You need to left-click that with your mouse emulation key.
