Hi Larry,
Go into doc and  press control+A to highlight.  
Press control + I and Italics should be turned off.
Press any navigation key like up arrow to get out of italic
mode.
Press jaws or insert key + f to ensure doc is not
italicized.  
Save document.

I am using Jaws 9 and MS-Word 2002.
I need to remove the Italics from a passage of saved text,
how can I do this without retyping  all of the information?
