Hi Francis, First, maybe I misread his message, but I thought he said that he *had* made the setting in the configuration manager. Second, if I were doing this, I'd make it in the default file, because I'd want Jaws to speak the blank link not just in Word, say, but in WordPad, NotePad, Outlook Express, or wherever. But maybe he has a special reason to want it solely in Word. I can understand that, if it's a deliberate choice. But again, I thought he said he had set it as you instruct, but that the setting never "takes." ---- Original Message ----- From: "Francis Daniels" <fdaniels@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, November 01, 2005 8:37 AM Subject: Re: Reading blank lines with SayAll An easier way is to open Configuration Manager while you are in your application. Press Alt S to open the Setup menu pull down. Arrow down to Say All options, and then press enter. Press tab to get to "Say blank line" checkbox. Press spacebar to check it. Press enter to exit. Press Control S to save your settings. Press Alt F4 to exit Configuration Manager. Now, while doing a SayAll, you will hear the blank line spoken as you read.
