Question about Jaws and AOL Instant Messenger.

Hi,
I use Jaws for Windows version7.0. I also use AOL instant messenger. I find
that this program works well with Jaws.
I recently tried to use a live chat service and Jaws wouldn’t read the
conversation. What language is AOL Instant Messenger written in that makes it
compatible with Jaws?
