Hi Lil, all you have to do is use your hotkey for Kurzweil or press enter on the icon for Kurzweil, and the Kurzweil will run. Jaws will go to sleep, and yes, you can use the braille display with the Kurzweil. I also use the Kurzweil program, so if you need help just let me know. As far as putting jaws to sleep, you might want to just shut off the speech, and use your braille display. Which braille display are you using? I am using the alva satellite 544. When you just turn off the speech you can still use the Jaws function. If you put jaws to sleep I don't think you can use all the jaws fun ction. To turn off the speech press insert plus control plus the letter s. Hit the end key, and this will land you no speech. Just press enter, and you are good to go. It is possible to use msn with no speech. If you are interested let me know, and I will show you how it can be done. If you need more help let me know. I really like using jaws with no speech, and just using my braille display. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lillian Schwinn" <melady717@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, February 23, 2005 2:27 AM Subject: Re: Putting jaws to sleep while in a program > Hi, > > I'm sorry, I missed this thread.
