Good afternoon Gene,I have noticed the non-standard UI that QB uses. However, this isn't too much of a challenge to someone who does scripting for a business. I would script the application myself, but I simply do not have the time. I already have a couple of quotes on scripting the application. I will let you know how it goes, I imagine that there will be few tweaks required to make the Canadian scripts work with QB U.S. as they have used the same codebase for the past year.
As for other applications, I have tested Simply Accounting and Microsoft Accounting Express and neither is accessible. I did hear that there may be Window Eyes scripts for QuickBooks Online. I would never choose to use an online bookkeeping application myself, but this might be worth your looking into.

Everett:Good luck finding anyone to write scripts for QuickBooks. I was in businessfor 27 years and for about the last eight, I used QuickBooks as my accounting system. After QuickBooks 6, I believe, Intuit changed from using "standard windows" for their programs. I even called and spoke with a general manager who saidthey had achieved the "wow" in their version (I believe around 2003 or 2004).I still use QuickBooks but not nearly as efficiently as I did. I have alsobeen trying to find out if there is anyone who has written scripts for the software and have had no luck whatsoever. I even posted a message on this list trying to discover if anyone knew of an accounting system that is accessible. Again, no luck at all. In fact, I received no comments. If you learn of anything, PLEASE let me know! I need U.S. versions, however. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of E.J.
