Outlook express behaving strangly since SP2 install!

Hi Got a friend using outlook express on windows xp home edition. Since
he installed the service pack 2 he finds his messages in outlook express
aren't opening up correctly. I mean that each time you open a message
you are sitting in the "subject field" of the message and have to tab to
the actual message whereas before it just opened up and jaws would read
it through.
