John,

I looked at my version of OE and there is no checkbox having to do with
Messenger. Here's my OE version:

With outlook express, In the tools menu, click options. On the general tab,
you should find a checkbox for msn messenger loading. Uncheck that. It will say
something to the effect of run msn messenger when outlook express starts.

I have a problem with Outlook Express on one of my computers. When I am in
Outlook Express, there is an item which shows up about me not being signed into
Windows Messenger. It also shows up in the Outlook Express options. It doesn't
show up on the other computer, even though I am running the same software on
both computers.

I do not have Windows Messenger installed, and it doesn't show up in the
control panel under add or remove programs.

How do I get Windows Messenger disassociated with my Outlook Express again.

    Thank you.
