If you installed Outlook from PACMate, you should have 2002, not 2000.
I'm running 2002 without the problem you are speaking of, so if you are,
in fact, running that version, perhaps we can check settings, etc.

Hi List,

I have used Outlook Express and know what you are all talking about.
It is
nice to have the autocomplete function. I switched to Outlook 2000
when I
purchased my PacMate because of the Syncronize function which used
Outlook
2000. Now, I have done all the things that have been suggested and
searched
the features and the help (such as it is) and find absolutely no way to
make
this work. I truly believe that the final word on this subject may be
that
it just doesn't work. I missed this feature when I switched too. If
someone has outlook 2000 and finds this, please let us know. I have
the
check name feature checked and it doesn't make any difference. Linda
