Have you tried just Alt-tab out and back in to Word? Or how about Ins+Esc?

Subject: Office 2007 and JFW question

Using Office 2007 and XP with latest service pack, every so often, I open an
email attachment or open a Word doc and Jaws cannot read the document. No words
show with the PC, Jaws, or invisible cursors for moving by line, word, reading
from cursor to end of text, etc. Insert-f1 informs me as follows: "Document
protection status is Allow only revisions.

This means that navigation and editing is restricted."

The problem is that the document is absolutely not protected in this way.
Neither the sender nor I have done so. To read the document, I must close Word,
unload JFW, Load JFW, reopen the document, and then I can read it-and the
insert-F1 message no longer indicates that the file is protected. Has anyone
else had this experience and if so did they find another way to handle it?
