Hi, writing to you both off list and on the JFW list. I think the reason why in one identity he can't delete messages in the usual way yet in the other he can is because in the other identity some dbx files are corrupted, causing it to be not accessible by Outlook Express. The way to resolve this is to first locate where the dbx files are stored, then close Outlook Express, find those dbx files, delete one or all of them, and restart Outlook Express. They will just re-create the folders for him. I hope this helps. I use Eudora now so can't really give you exact instructions. Good luck.

Write me off list.
A friend has Outlook Express with two identities. In the one identity, he cannot delete messages unless he uses shift delete. In the other he can.
Has anyone ever ran across such a thing?
