Some things to try: Check user verbosity and make sure that tool tip is not checked for the level you are using. Also see if you have a Jaws custom highlight turned on. Also, turn on Show ToolTips in the message list for clipped items, in tools options, read tab. Hope this helps. I find I have to pause from time to time to make sure JAWS isn't reading the preceding message's subject line. Last night, like you, I deleted a message because of this JAWS error. If my problem is like yours, then I'm afraid the workaround is patience. ----- Original Message ----- From: Nikki B. I use Outlook Express for e-mail and JAWS has always worked just fine. Now however, I find that JAWS is mis-reading many of the subject lines as I go down through my list in the inbox. I have inadvertently deleted e-mails which I needed because JAWS told me they were something else. I must say, I am getting pretty fed up with JAWS with all these little quirks adding up. I need a screen reader to make my life easier not more stressful. Sorry for the vent.
