How do I use Norton Internet Security 2006 with JAWS?

To be more specific, I am running JFW 7 on a 450mHz Pentium III machine
running Windows XP Home service Pack 2. I just installed Norton Internet
Security 2006. I am having a terrible time with the interface.

When I press tab to get to certain links/buttons in NIS, and I press enter
on the buttons or links Norton's response is either nonexistant or extremely
slow as if my keystrokes aren't getting through to the program. After much
trial and effort I seemed to get to the Norton Antivirus section of the
program, but I couldn't find a control to get to a full system scan button.
That's not quite true. I did find that button once, but nothing happened
when I tried to activate it. Then I got lost somehow, and I never did find
my way back to that control.

Besides all these problems with the NIS interface Norton's response to any
keyboart input is quite slow.

How can I configure JAWS and Norton Internet Security to play nicely with
each other? How do I manipulate NIS's unfriendly interface?
