Need help with start menu with Jaws.

Listers,
I really don't understand this. Jaws isn't reading the start menu search
field correctly. When I put a word in the search field, that word may show
up or I may have to tab three times for the list of word that is suppose to
be in the start menu field.
A lot of times, I can type a word in the start menu search, another word
that I didn't type will show up. What is this, can this be explain?!
