Hello...I use JAWS V11, but steps should be the same with V8 too.
Deleting a favorite in Mozilla Firefox:
1. Press alt-b to get to the bookmarks menu.
2. Using your up-arrow key find the favorite you want to delete.
3. Press your application key and arrow down to delete and press enter.
